Prepare a YouTube upload with NextBrowser

Use NextBrowser with your YouTube Studio profile to prepare an upload, review metadata and visibility, then supervise an explicitly approved publication.

About this reference video

The video shows the source task and its recorded outcome. The guide below explains how to run that task through NextBrowser: choose a profile and browser toolset, start a session, then supervise your local agent in Chat and Live View. Interface labels and results can differ from the recording.

Overview

An upload workflow has several consequential choices: which channel receives the file, what viewers see and when it becomes public. NextBrowser combines the local agent with the browser session so you can supervise those screens. Prepare the upload first, review the settings, and authorize publication separately.

What happens in the video

The agent sets up the YouTube channel, selects a local screen recording, and proceeds through YouTube Studio's upload and details screens. The browser reaches a Video published confirmation with a share link. That confirmation should be distinguished from a check of the final visibility setting.

Before you start

  • NextBrowser on macOS or Windows, signed in through browser pairing
  • An installed and authenticated local agent: Claude Code or Codex from the ChatGPT desktop app
  • A video file available to the local agent, approved metadata and the intended channel and visibility

Run this in NextBrowser

Follow these steps in your own NextBrowser workspace. The video summary records the source demonstration; your result needs the checks below.

  1. Prepare the NextBrowser session

Select the profile with the correct Google account and confirm the actual channel in Live View. Check that the chosen local agent can access the video file before starting the upload task.

  2. Give the local agent a scoped task

Select your local agent in NextBrowser. Confirm the active profile and tab for YouTube Studio for your intended channel. Submit the prompt below in Chat after replacing its placeholders. The selected profile name is guidance for the agent; check the actual session in the sidebar and Live View.

  3. Collect the task evidence

Ask the agent in Chat to select the supplied file, enter the approved title and description, and prepare the intended audience and visibility settings. Supervise these screens and stop before publication for review.

  4. Review the result against the browser

Review the channel, file, metadata and visibility yourself. After separately authorizing publication, inspect the resulting video entry and share link; a published confirmation alone does not establish the requested visibility. Prompt limits are not an enforced approval gate.

Suggested prompt

In NextBrowser, confirm profile [profile name] and YouTube channel [channel]. Prepare [local video path] in YouTube Studio using [approved title, description, audience and visibility]. Stop before publishing and present the settings for my review. Do not publish until I separately approve this upload.

Replace the placeholders, then send this in NextBrowser Chat with the intended profile and agent selected. This is a suggested task, not the recording transcript.

What to verify in your run

  • An upload prepared with reviewed channel, metadata and audience settings
  • A verified video URL and visibility only after explicitly authorized publication

Questions about this workflow

Does upload mean public?

No. Upload, processing, draft, and publication are separate states. Verify final visibility.

Is channel creation always needed?

The recording creates a channel when required. Use the existing intended channel if already available.
