Compare retail prices with NextBrowser
Research Amazon, Walmart and Target in NextBrowser and compare matching product variants with dated offer evidence and delivery assumptions.
About this reference video
The video shows the source task and its recorded outcome. The guide below explains how to run that task through NextBrowser: choose a profile and browser toolset, start a session, then supervise your local agent in Chat and Live View. Interface labels and results can differ from the recording.
Go to the NextBrowser workflow ↓Overview
Retail searches can return accessories, different variants and third-party offers under similar names. Use NextBrowser to inspect individual product pages and keep matching rules consistent across retailers. A comparison is useful only when the listed offers are equivalent and their price assumptions are explicit.
What happens in the video
The task compares ten electronics products across Amazon, Walmart, and Target. During collection, the agent detects an implausible accessory price being matched to a console and corrects the comparison. It then presents a 30-cell workbook and dashboard of offers from the recorded run.
Before you start
- NextBrowser on macOS or Windows, signed in through browser pairing
- An installed and authenticated local agent: Claude Code or Codex from the ChatGPT desktop app
- Exact models or identifiers, delivery location and rules for seller, condition and bundles
Run this in NextBrowser
Follow these steps in your own NextBrowser workspace. The video summary records the source demonstration; your result needs the checks below.
Prepare the NextBrowser session
Start a retail research profile and confirm storefront region and delivery assumptions. Ask the agent to keep separate tabs for candidate offers and verify which tab belongs to which retailer.
Give the local agent a scoped task
Select your local agent in NextBrowser. Confirm the active profile and tab for Amazon, Walmart and Target product searches. Submit the prompt below in Chat after replacing its placeholders. The selected profile name is guidance for the agent; check the actual session in the sidebar and Live View.
Collect the task evidence
Collect exact model, variant, seller, condition, stock, price, currency, shipping and product URL for each retailer. Check suspiciously cheap offers for accessories, bundles or a different capacity before adding them to the comparison.
Review the result against the browser
Inspect a sample of matched offers in Live View and reconcile the matrix with the source pages. Use unavailable when no equivalent product is found, and timestamp the report because prices and stock can change.
Send this prompt in NextBrowser Chat
Use the intended NextBrowser profile [profile name]. First confirm the running session, active tab and target site; stop if they do not match. Compare [models] across Amazon, Walmart, and Target. Collect model, variant, seller, price, currency, discount conditions, stock, rating, review count, and URL. Group matching products in a spreadsheet and highlight the lowest comparable listed offer. Mark missing fields. Report source URLs, the actual amount collected and any incomplete checks. Keep this run to research; do not purchase, publish or change account settings.
Replace the placeholders, then send this in NextBrowser Chat with the intended profile and agent selected. This is a suggested task, not the recording transcript.
What to verify in your run
- A retailer-by-product matrix with comparable variants and source URLs
- A dated comparison that separates item price, shipping and unavailable matches
Questions about this workflow
Is the lowest price always the best deal?
Compare equivalent variants and preserve seller, promotion, and availability conditions. Delivery charges or membership requirements may change the decision.
Is recurring monitoring included?
The recording demonstrates a comparison run. Recurring monitoring requires a schedule, stored baseline, and stable product matching.
